Medical Projects
We developed EEG monitoring techniques designed to detect non-convulsive status epilpeticus (NCSE) in non-responsive patients in the lCU and emergency room. This patient population typically does not receive brain monitoring, even though they are at risk for NCSE.
epiPAPA is a neural network based seizure detection algorithm that runs in real-time, or offline with a variety of digital EEG file formats including EDF.
The cortical stimulator is a constant current, bi-phasic brain stimulator intended for cortical stimulation mapping to aid in cortical resection procedures.
In this Phase II SBIR, we developed methods for automatic detection of epileptic seizures before and immediately after clinical onset using only features derived from scalp EEG. The detection method is patient-specific, using recurrent neural networks and a variety of input features.
Brain Navigator is a PC-based system capable of combining EEG and MR/CT images to provide high-resolution anatomical localization of functional and neurophysiological data.
