 | Available in either a two or three axis version, our Head-Aimed Remote Viewer (HARV) can be controlled by either a joystick or the operator's head motions. Both of these gimbals are available with a high-precision option, offering sub-milliradian accuracy and 300 degree per second slew rates in azimuth. The standard system has 5 milliradian accuracy with an ultra-fast 600 degree per second slew rate in azimuth. All versions of the HARV gimbal are based on the same rugged mechanical core, with over 90% commonality in components. The key difference is that the two axis version can accommodate both a 640 x 480 thermal imager and a 36:1 optical zoom daylight camera, while the three axis version is limited to a 320 x 240 thermal imager and the 36:1 optical zoom daylight camera. The gimbal can also carry a 0.00005 lux ultra-low-light camera instead of the thermal imager. This low light camera can operate in most night conditions without illumination. When needed, the gimbal has both infrared and white light illuminators. The gimbal also has both visible and infrared laser pointers, as well as stereo audio microphones. All of this capability is carried in a 6.25" diameter package that weighs less than 8 pounds. In single unit quantities, pricing starts at less than $40,000. In larger quantities, there is a significant cost savings.
